As Holi celebrations take place around the world some Indian superstars are using their star power to spread messages of restraint and awareness.
Alia Bhatt, Madhuri Dixit, Abhishek Bachchan and others took to Twitter to urge fans to save water. Many stars used the hashtag #dryholi to spread their message.
Other celebrities like Parineeti Chopra and Anushka Sharma expressed their concern for the treatment of animals. Chopra in particular asked her fans to avoid throwing colour on animals.
