In a strange turn of events, two husbands were beaten by their wives on Holi.
In Cholapur, a labourer came home after consuming excessive liquor and tore his wife’s clothes in a drunken stupor. Enraged, she attacked his genitals with a sharp weapon. Hearing his cries, neighbors rushed in and took him to a local hospital.
While he attempted to lodge an FIR against his wife, relatives, villagers and the village head arrived. The village head intervened and had the man take a pledge to not consume liquor in future and sign a compromise letter with his wife, after which the man returned home.
Meanwhile in Amra Khaira area of Rohania one Rajkumar Prajapati (32) started quarrelling with wife Aarti (28) when other family members were busy with Holi celebrations. In anger, Aarti first poured kerosene over herself and then on her husband, torching both of them. Her husband jumped in to a pond with Aarti in hot pursuit. Villagers took them to a local hospital from where they were refered to a private hospital.
