Flag hoisting ceremony was held at Pakistan High Commission (HC) in New Delhi in light of Pakistan Day.
Pakistani HC Abdul Basit said that inviting Hurriyat leaders for participation in Pakistan Day ceremony is a tradition. Kashmiri leaders have been a part of March 23 ceremonies in past years.
Syed Ali Geelani, Asiya Andrabi among other leaders have been invited to a ceremony which is scheduled for the evening today at the High Commission.
Pakistan Day, March 23 remembers the Lahore Resolution 1940 that is seen as a milestone in the establishment of Pakistan.
