Islamabad High Court (IHC) has sought date for the meeting of Central Selection Board (CSB) to promote former inspector general police Islamabad, Aftab Cheema.
Justice Shaukat Aziz Siddiqui of the IHC took up the promotion case of former IG Islamabad Aftab Cheema for hearing on Tuesday.
The court expressed displeasure over non implementation of its orders on promotion of Aftab Cheema.
Deputy Attorney General (DAG) told the court Aftab Cheema was not promoted due to an ongoing inquiry against him.
Mustafa Ramday, counsel for the petitioner told the court that Aftab Cheema has been cleared in the inquir adding that the authorities were promoting their favourite officers.
Justice Shaukat Aziz Siddiqui remarked, “Most of the batch mates of the petitioner have been promoted. We should not be forced to disclose everything.
The court while seeking date for the meeting of CSB in connection with the promotion of Aftab Cheema, adjourned the hearing until March 28.
