Unknown armed men gunned down two, a husband and wife, and fled the scene after committing the crime.
Police said that unidentified arms culprits barged into a house and opened indiscriminate fire at the residents in Manpur village of tehsil Sambrial of Sialkot.
The house owner Nazir and his wife died on the spot while the assailants managed to flee.
Police said that this could be an honour killing as the deceased Nazir had entered into a love marriage with a woman from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) about five years ago. The couple had three young daughters.
The bodies were shifted to hospital for medico-legal formalities while the police after registering a case against unknown murderers have started investigating the matter.
