Arrest warrants issued against 18 policemen

Additional Sessions Judge Israr Zada has issued arrest warrants of 18 police officials over non-compliance of court orders.

The judge summoned 18 police officials of four police stations including ASI Muhammad Hussain, constables Muhammad Shehzad, Muhammad Atif, Muhammad Saeed, Muhammad Saleem and Sohail Mushtaq of Ghulam Muhammad Abad Police Station, ASI Muhammad Siddique, ASI Muhammad Ramzan, constables Zafar Iqbal, Sardar Ali, Ali Ahmad, Muhammad Adnan and Naubahar of Sadr Police Station, constables Muhammad Sarwar, Javaid Iqbal, Zafar Iqbal and Muhammad Abbas of Madina Town Police Station and Sub Inspector (SI) Muhammad Nasir of Batala Colony Police Station in different cases pending before the court where the police officials failed to comply with the court’s orders.

Taking serious notice of the non-compliance, the court issued arrest warrants against these police officials with a directive to City Police Officer (CPO) to produce Sub Inspector (SI) Muhammad Nasir on March 28, constables Muhammad Saleem and Sohail Mushtaq on March 29, ASI Muhammad Hussain, constables Muhammad Shehzad, Muhammad Arif and Muhammad Saeed before the court on April 7, constables Muhammad Sarwar, Javaid Iqbal, Zafar Iqbal and Muhammad Abbas on April 9 and ASI Muhammad Siddique, ASI Muhammad Ramzan, constables Zafar Iqbal, Sardar Ali, Ali Ahmad, Muhammad Adnan and Naubahar on April 16.
