NPB DG Amlish appointed as DG FIA

Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has appointed Muhammad Amlish as Director General (DG) of the Federal Investigation Authority (FIA).

Muhammad Amlish has earlier served as Balochistan’s Inspector General (IG) and National Police Bureau’s Director General. The position was vacant after Akbar Khan Hoti retired in February. Abid Qadri was asked to serve as acting DG until induction of the new chief.

Meanwhile, the services of Kamaluddin Teepu, a PSP-21 officer, have been placed at the disposal of the National Counter Terrorism Authority (NACTA). Teepu Mahabat Khan, another BS-21 officer, has been posted as additional secretary Inter Provincial Coordination Division, Amir Tariq Zaman (BS-21) posted as Additional Secretary Cabinet Division, while Aurangzeb Haque (BS-21) posted as Additional Secretary Establishment Division.

The prime minister also approved the posting of Yasmeen Masood (BS-21) as Additional Secretary Communications Division and Dr Hammad Uwais Agha (BS-21) as Additional Secretary Revenue Division.
