Emergency has been decalred and curfew has been imposed in Belgium after after multiple explosions in Brussels.
Two explosions hit Brussels’ Zaventum airport this morning after 8 am, leaving a number of people wounded.Media has reported that evacuation has been completed and that Beligan authorities have activated an “emergency plan”, starting with cancellation of all flights.
Eye wittnesses have also reported seeing windows being smashed in the terminal tower and images released have shown black smoke rising from said building.
The airport tweeted advice to avoid the area:
Don’t come to the airport – airport is being evacuated. Avoid the airport area. Flights have been cancelled.
