The custom officials foiled a bid to smuggle five hundred grams of heroin abroad, here at General Post Office (GPO) Lahore on Monday.
Custom officials said that during search of a parcel booked for Holland, 500 grams of heroin worth hundreds of thousand rupees concealed in books was recovered.
The recovered drug was taken into custody and the police, after registering a case against the accused who booked the parcel, have started raids for his arrest.
