On the special directive of Sindh Minister for Local Government Jam Khan Shoro, Korangi Municipal Administrator Ghulam Rasool announced on Sunday that a grand operation against illegal encroachments occupying drainage lines causing toxic environment and trouble for municipality workers had been initiated.

The municipal authorities said that the rain-water drains would be cleaned properly for ensuring healthy environment to residents of district Korangi. All the work had been done to take action against illegal encroachers occupying these drains, said Rasool. He urged people not to throw garbage or make connection into rain-water drains. He inspected the ongoing cleaning work of the drains in Shah Faisal Colony. He directed the officials concerned to accelerate cleaning work so that the maximum lines could be cleaned before expected rains and healthy environment could be ensured.
