Former chief minister of Balochistan Dr Abdul Malik Baloch said on Saturday that the former military ruler Gen (r) Pervez Musharraf was let to go abroad under a deal with the PML-N government.
Addressing the lawyers, he said that Pervez Musharraf was allowed to go abroad for treatment under a deal. He should have been tried under law of the land instead of letting him go abroad, he opined.
He called for strengthening democratic institutions in the country, adding that head money on rebels would not help solve the crises in Balochistan and called for continuation of the reconciliation process in the province. He said the law and order situation had improved during his tenure as chief minister. He said about 72 groups were involved in kidnapping for ransom in different areas of the province. But, he claimed, the situation had improved in the province.
