Kamal fears wall-chalking may cause clashes with rivals

Former Karachi mayor Mustafa Kamal has advised supporters of his unnamed party not to carry out wall-chalking and pasting of his posters to avoid clashes with the rivals.
Talking to visitors, who arrived at his residence to discuss with him the future strategy, Kamal advised them to focus on party’s first show of power on April 2.
The disgruntled Muttaheda Qaumi Movement (MQM) leader has announced to hold first public gathering of his yet to be named party at Bagh-e-Jinnah. Earlier, he had announced that he would disclose name and flag of his new party on the same day.
On Saturday, Kamal met with the visitors and welcomed them for their support. He shakes hands with every visitor present on the floor and thanked them for paying visit to his house. He was seen sharing friendly gestures and requesting everyone to make efforts on their part to ensure maximum attendance during first public gathering of the party.
While talking to his visitors, he showed concerns of possible clashes with rivals and informed them about his expectations associated with April 2 show of power.
“Don’t carry out wall-chalking in my favour and don’t paste posters carrying my picture to avoid clash with the rivals,” Kamal advised his supporter. “Discuss my ideology with your neighbours, friends and people around and make them agree to come and participate in our first public gathering,” he maintained.
Talking to his another supporter, who came from Kharadar, he said that Bagh-e-Jinnah was hardly five kilometers away from Kharadar and “I want my supporters from old city areas to come and participate by marching through MA Jinnah Road.” “I want to break all records of public gathering held in any part of the city before,” Kamal expressed his expectation.
In a meeting with women, who arrived at his residence to discuss future plans, he advised them to spread his message of peace and harmony in the areas they belong. He told them for holding house-to-house meetings and make them agree to come out for his support.
