WT20: Thunderstorm, gusty winds likely to interrupt Pak-India match at Kolkata

Thunderstorm with strong winds are likely to disrupt the most-awaited clash between Pakistan and India as the weather experts forecast heavy rain in Kolkata, West Bengal.

According to weather authorities, there are expectations of rain on the match day between India and Pakistan. The chances of rain declared by Kolkata weather authority are 45 percent but the cricket lovers can still hang out to watch this high profile match.

The maximum temperature will reach 33 degree centigrade and the minimum temperature will be 26 degree centigrade. The only factor that will disturb both teams will be the dew on grass.

On the other hand, India and Pakistan are all set for the mega tie as hundreds of millions of cricket fans gather to watch the World Twenty20 match between the two arch-rival nations in Kolkata.

The cricket-mad neighbours, who have gone to war three times since independence, share one of the world’s fiercest sporting rivalries and their rare showdowns on the pitch can bring both to a standstill.

The match will start at 7 pm (PST).

In the eastern city of Kolkata in West Bengal, thousands of security personnel deployed outside Eden Gardens stadium testified to the enormity of the encounter.

Policemen battled to keep the fans from sneaking into the iconic stadium in order to catch a glimpse of their favourite stars during practice sessions.

Fans said they were nervous about predicting the outcome of the match.
