Leave no stone unturned in serving masses, PM asks lawmakers

Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has advised parliamentarians to leave no stone unturned in serving the masses, saying “the ultimate purpose of our endeavours in the socio-economic fields is to revolutionise the lives of our people and make Pakistan a thriving democracy where equal opportunities are available to everyone”.

The premier made these remarks during his separates meetings with MNAs Muhammad Raza Hayat Harraj, Chaudhry Nazir Ahmed and Abdul Rahman Khan Kanju at the Prime Minister’s House on Friday.

The parliamentarians apprised PM Sharif of numerous development and welfare initiatives being proposed in their respective constituencies. The prime minister assured the MNAs of his complete cooperation in execution of all the projects and schemes aimed at raising the living standard of the people.

The parliamentarians said that “we are confident that your (PM Sharif) leadership, the consolidation of gains in the infrastructure development, economic stability, self-sufficiency in energy and social sector reforms will be achieved in the near future”.

They said that “the revival of trust and confidence of the international political leadership as well as financial and business community in successful socio-economic policies of the incumbent government was a manifestation of our pledge and commitment to the people to make their lives better in terms of empowering them and raising their quality of life”.

The parliamentarians also thanked the prime minister for taking interest in the infrastructure development and addressing the concerns of farmers in their respective constituencies. They told the prime minister that his vision of transforming Pakistan into a developed, progressive and modern state had started yielding the fruits.

About the overall security situation, they observed that the situation had improved in the country and the nation was united under the leadership of PM Sharif to eliminate the menace of terrorism and extremism from the motherland.

  1. Asking for the moon – even knowing well what he saying is just ceremonial. More such good gestures would follow as next elections will near.
