PM Nawaz chairs high-level meeting to review security situation

Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif chaired a high-level meeting in Islamabad early on Friday.

The meeting discussed prevailing external and internal situation in Pakistan. It condemned Peshawar blast and vowed to eliminate terrorism.

The meeting was attended by Chief of Army Staff General Raheel Shareef, Director General ISI Rizwan Akhtar, Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar, PM’s adviser Tariq fatemi and others.

According to a statement, matters related to external and internal security were discussed during the meeting. The participants of the meeting strongly condemned the blast that targeted government officials in Peshawar on Wednesday.

The meeting reviewed progress on the ongoing military operation. It was noted with satisfaction that the operation has made significant gains. The participants reaffirmed their firm resolve to root out the scourge of terrorism and extremism from the country.

  1. Was this meeting needed or was it a panic reaction to fool public. Gen Musharraf is on his nerves. Nawaz and his trolls have gone too far to deliberately insult Army and its formar Chief of Army Staff. They won’t get away with it.They will be answerable InshaAllah.
