Paramedical staff gathered in front of Civil Secretariat, demanding regularisation and implementation of the service structure as they continued their protest for the second day on Thursday.

According to details, the paramedics held a rally on Wednesday and staged a sit-in outside the Secretariat. They spent night under the open sky.

The protesters said they would continue their sit-in until the government gave green signal to their demands.

Doctors also boycotted surgeries and boycotted all outpatient departments which caused cancellation of various minor and major operations in various hospitals, creating problems for patients.

The protesting paramedics urged the authorities to implement the service structure and regularise their jobs.
