Awami National Party (ANP) Provincial President Amir Haider Khan Hoti on Friday dissolved the party cabinet of district Peshawar as the district president had failed to get vote of confidence from the district general council.
The schedule for election of the new cabinet would be announced in the coming few days.
According to a statement issued by the provincial spokesperson of the party Haroon Bilour, the decision was taken as per the guidelines of the election commission.
It further said that a high-level meeting of the provincial election commission was held the other day with Hussain Ali Shah in the chair. The commission recommended immediate liquefaction of the district cabinet because of the failure of the ex-president in getting vote of confidence from the general council.
