The verdict of Supreme Court of Pakistan on Sindh police officials has affected over 6000 officials of Punjab Police while the court has allowed the other officials, including police officer Shahid Pervez, to be party in out of turn promotion case and also decided to hear all petitions jointly.
A three member bench of apex court headed by Chief Justice Anwer Zaheer Jamali conducted the hearing of the case on Tuesday.
During the course of the hearing, Asma Jahangir requested the apex court to constitute a larger bench in view of the significance of the case.
Asma Jahangir, Ali Zafar and Hamid Khan appeared before the court on behalf of various officials.
The court observed that same was the case with the Sindh officials therefore it would be heard jointly.
The court later adjourned the hearing of the case till first week of the April, 2016.
