Peshawar Mor flyover, Islamabad is the largest flyover of the country and will be open for traffic on March 23.

CDA has approved the inaugural ceremony of the fly over which will be done by the Prime Minister (P M) Nawaz Sharif.

The construction work of the flyover was to be started in May 2014 but the work began late in April 2015 due to the construction of the metro bus project.

The length, of the entire roads combined of this flyover is about 14 kilometres, far more than any other flyover of the country.

For the first time, cast technology has been used in the construction of the fly over.  The columns of the flyover have been placed through modern technology instead of heavy machines. This project was completed at the cost of Rs 5,567.141 million and the fund was shared equally by federal and provincial governments.

Peshawar More flyover’s executive engineer Wasim Tariq said that Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA) has given the green signal to open the flyover for general traffic. Certain work including decoration, water drainage and other petty work are yet to be done and some time is required for its completion. Beautification of this project is shared responsibility of CDA and NLC and 12 sections have been formed under this fly over for the purpose.
