A 53-year old government employee joined thousands of other students who are appearing for their matriculation exams in the city on Tuesday.
Muhammad Shafeeq, a peon at WAPDA, said that he could only complete education till grade 6 when he was young. “Now that I am an old man my daughters encouraged me to give exams and complete school,” he said.
Despite being unable to study as a young boy, Shafeeq educated all of his daughters.
According to Peshawar Board Chairman Dr Shafi Afridi as many as 130,000 students will appear in the exams.
