Islamabad police has introduced an internal accountability system within the department to erase corruption.

Besides that he said a complaint cell is already functional at the SSP office, Islamabad where the aggrieved can submit their applications.

Enquiries are being held on such kind of applications under relevant provisions of law and delinquent officers are being dealt with departmentally as well as recommended for criminal proceedings by the courts of law.

In order to make Islamabad Police professional, the source said that officials showing better performance are being appreciated with commendation certificate and cash rewards, on the other hand, if anyone is found involved in the malpractice or criminal activities, strict departmental action as well as criminal proceedings is being initiated.

Under the government policy and directions of Ministry of Interior, the SHOs are being deployed purely on merits without any political or any other interference so that the officers deployed on merit could perform their duties strictly in accordance with law without fear or favour.
