China-Pakistan partnership on its way to do wonders: Li Jun

Minister of International Department of the Central Committee of Communist Party of China (CPC) Li Jun said that the partnership between Pakistan and China is on its way to do wonders.

Institute of Strategic Studies Islamabad (ISSI) held an in-house discussion with a six-member delegation of the International Department of the Communist Party of China (IDCPC).

The delegation was led by Li Jun and comprised IDCPC Director Mr. Yuan Ruidong, Deputy Director Ms. Jia Peng, Second Secretary Mr. Wang Yuwei and staff member Mr. Tan Wei.

Other who attended the meeting included renowned defence analyst Lt. Gen. (r.) Talat Masood, distinguished fellow at ISSI Ms. Puruesh Chaudhary and International Relations department Head at NUML, Dr Sarwat Rana.

Ambassador Masood Khan, ISSI Director General, warmly welcomed the delegation and underlined Pakistan’s strong relations with China.

He thanked China for China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) adding that it the flagship project for the success of the Belt and Road initiative.

Li Jun gave a comprehensive account of the economy of China, its present and future outlook, adding that this year marks the 65th anniversary of China-Pakistan bilateral relations.

He said that the month of March each year is a significant month for developing the Five-Year Economic Plan by the CPC.

He was optimistic about the Sino-Pakistan bilateral economic relations and the potential of Pakistan’s economy to achieve extraordinary targets.

Li Yun also interacted with researchers of the ISSI and the guests present on the occasion.

Ambassador Masood Khan, in concluding remarks, said that all nations participating in the Belt and Road projects should pursue reforms, development, and stability.
