Local police foiled a bid to smuggle arms, seized a weapons-laden vehicle and arrested two accused here on Tuesday.
The police, on a tip-off, started snap-checking of vehicles and during the search of a suspected vehicle in Kahna area, recovered a huge cache of weapons and ammunition.
The arms-laden vehicle was impounded and the two smugglers on board were arrested.
Police officials said that the arms were being smuggled from tribal areas of Punjab but their timely action foiled the bid.
