In a major gold heist, unidentified robbers made off with 24-kg jewellery from a market on Karachi’s Tariq Road in broad daylight on Monday.
Police officials said at least eight hooded bandits stormed into the jewellery market and drove away with gold ornaments worth around Rs 250 million after taking the jewellers hostage at gunpoint. A case has been registered and raids are being made for the arrest of the robbers.
