India’s Hindu extremist party Shiv Sena came out in open criticism against the Pakistan and India cricket match of the 2016 World T20 tournament. Shiv Sena’s head Uddhav Thackeray once again threatened the West Bengal Chief Minister Mumta Banerjee stating that she had not done the right thing by making cricket the part of her politics.

On the other hand, Thackeray praised Himachal Pardesh Chief Minister Virbhadra Singhn saying his decision of excusing himself from hosting the match was a patriotic move.

Pakistan is up for a warm match against Sri Lanka today and will be playing against India on March 19th at Eden Gardens, Kolkata.

The venue was earlier shifted from Dharamsala to Eden Gardens by International Cricket Council (ICC) amid security concerns for the Pakistani team.
