CS directs inquiry into 203 uplift schemes of Thatta, Sujawal

Sindh Chief Secretary (CS) Muhammad Siddique Memon has ordered to conduct a probe into 203 development schemes of Thatta and Sujawal district and sought comprehensive report within a month.

Chief Secretary Siddique Memon taking notice of media reports convened an urgent meeting on Sunday. Additional Chief Secretary Muhammad Waseem also attended the meeting during which an inquiry committee headed by Chief Planning and Development Shah was constituted to conduct inquiry into 203 development schemes of Thatta and Sujawal pertaining to construction, repair of roads, public health engineering and health developments mostly. The inquiry committee will submit final report to the CS in a month.

The CS instructed the inquiry committee to probe into the financial expenditure, rules and regulation, tendering procedure and present status to this effect.

Siddique Memon categorically noted that none would be exempted from the disciplinary action if found guilty and responsible of malpractice to this effect.

Chief Secretary should also probe his own office as well…His office is defying the Orders of the Honarable orders of Supreme Court….the list provided by his office that all officers officiating in other departments will be relieved and the officers who are to be promoted as the directions of the Honarable Supreme Court are defied blatantly. We hope that Chief Minister will look into this matter ASAP. How can the officers who were supposedly asked to go back to their parent department are still working in the same departments. Case in point is one Mr Fahim Junego..Local Governments department…he is originally from Hyderabad Development Authority….there are instances where CS has not promoted senior cadre officers and instead promoted juniors who play to his tunes….
