The ministry of water and power has revealed that the federal government, four provincial governments, Azad Jammu and Kashmir, FATA and Karachi Electric Supply Company have to pay more than six trillion rupees to the ministry.
The private sector has to pay Rs 263 billion, Sindh government Rs 74 billion, AJK government Rs 60 billion, FATA Rs 39 billion and KP Rs 32 billion. Surprisingly, the ministry has sent the cases of Rs 1 trillion defaulters to the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) while the cases of defaulters of more than 5.5 trillion have not been sent to the NAB.
