Zehri says govt is working on tax-free industrial zones

The closing ceremony of 15th Textile Asia was graced with the presence of Balochistan Chief Minister Sanaullah Khan Zehri.

On the occasion, the chief minister congratulated the organisers for organising such a mega international textile and garments trade fair and said that the textile industry was changing as hundreds of people were moving towards textile industry which was a good sign. One the main reason behind it was improving law and order situation of Pakistan, he added.

He said: “We are working to make tax-free industrial zones. There are already some tax-zones but the province of Balochistan has become a very important province due to Pak-China Economic Corridor. As Balochistan is the biggest province of Pakistan, our government is working to attract industrialist as we are not only providing them land but also other facilities.”

Zulfiqar Ali Chaudhary, Chairman of All Pakistan Textile Processing Mills Association, Rear Admiral Arif Hussaini, Commander Navy Fleet, Rear Admiral Waseem Akram, Commander Karachi, also graced the closing day of 15th Textile Asia 2016.

Being Pakistan’s biggest B2B textile, garment, embroidery, digital printing machinery and chemical and allied services trade fair, this 3-day textile trade fair has been visited by more than 65,000 trade/corporate visitors and more than 550 international brands displayed their products in over 700 booths and over 500 foreign delegates from 27 countries mainly from Austria, China, Czech Republic, France, Germany, India, Italy, Korea, Taiwan, Turkey, UK and the USA participated in the event.

PRGMEA Central Chairman Shaikh Muhammad Shafiq said that they were thankful to the government of Pakistan, specifically the ministry of textile industry and ministry of commerce, for all their support and making it the most extravagant international textile and garments trade fair.

Ecommerce Gateway Pakistan President Dr Khursheed Nizam said that 15th Textile Asia was the only UFI (Paris) approved textile trade fair in South Asia and they were extremely thankful to all the national and international exhibitors, foreign delegates and trade visitors. The 15th Textile Asia strongly showcased immense buying selling potential of textile, garment and allied industries and introduced overseas suppliers of textile and garment materials, accessories and parts and machinery to the textile and garment industry of Pakistan.
