Two Rangers checkposts attacked in Karachi

Two Rangers checkposts were attacked by militants in Karachi on Sunday morning. The militants threw a hand grenade at a checkpost near Gulshan Chowrangi and fled from the scene . Following that, another blast was heard three minutes after the first one. However, no loss of life has been reported.

The security personnel arrived at both the places and launched a search operation. The militants were carrying 500 – 600 grams of explosives in shopping bags, which was thrown outside the checkposts, the security officers said. A case has been registered against the militants.

On the other hand, SP Gulshan Iqbal Fahad stated that two motorcyclists escaped from the scene after hurling hand grenades at the both checkposts. He said that investigation into the matter is underway.
