At least one person was killed and two others were wounded when unidentified gunmen attacked a passenger bus near Dera Ismail Khan on Saturday.
Police officials said the attackers sprayed the passenger bus with bullets in Kotkat area of Tank tehsil, killing one person and leaving two others critically wounded.
A police team rushed and cordoned off the area after the attack. The dead and the injured were shifted to a hospital for medico-legal formalities and treatment.
The officials said a search operation had been launched for the arrest of the gunmen who had fled the crime scene after the attack.
