The newly-appointed Inspector General of Sindh Police, Allah Dino (AD) Khawaja, has said that restoration of peace in the city is his top priority. While talking to Online on Saturday, he said it would be his utmost effort to make police a professional force and to establish a mechanism for addressing the complaints at lower level. Responding to a question, he said he never got revenge in his entire life and also cleared that had no political affiliation in his entire career.
AD Khawaja said he was very thankful to God that Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, former president Asif Ali Zardari and Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah showed confidence in him.
It is worth mentioned here that following the apex court order, the federal government announced on Saturday to remove Inspector General (IG) Ghulam Haider Jamali and appointed Allah Dino (AD) Khawaja as the new IG Sindh. According to reports, the Sindh government had submitted names of three candidates for the post as the top police chief, of which AD Khawaja was selected to replace Jamali.
