During the cleansing and removal of encroachments from the banks of Manzoor Colony ‘nallah’ by the Karachi Metropolitan Corporation (KMC), the alleged members of ‘land mafia’ resorted to hooliganism and stone-pelting.
This was claimed in a statement issued by the KMC on Saturday. A senior official of KMC Bilal Manzar was manhandled, it said, adding that some vehicles of KMC were also damaged. Administrator KMC Roshan Ali Shaikh said in a statement that strict legal action would be taken against those who obstructed the government officials from performing their duties, resorted to stone-pelting and injured government officials.
