Sartaj calls for strengthening Islamabad-Tehran relations

Adviser on Foreign Affairs Sartaj Aziz has emphasized further strengthening relations between Pakistan and Iran in diverse fields, particularly trade and economy.

He was talking to Iranian Foreign Minister Javad Zarif on the sidelines of 14th Ministerial meeting of the Asian Cooperation Dialogue in Bangkok.

He said Pakistan is looking forward to the forthcoming visit of the Iranian President to Islamabad.
The Iranian Foreign Minister said that bilateral ties are expanding in all areas of mutual interest.

They also discussed issues of international and regional importance.
The foreign ministers of Nepal and Thailand also held separate meetings with the Adviser on Foreign Affairs and discussed ways and means to further enhance bilateral relations.
