A high-profile accused of mega corruption in Sindh, Nasir Morai, was arrested from Islamabad, sources said.
Morai was accused of mega corruption in Fishermen Cooperative Society, money laundering, funding and patronising some terrorist groups of Lyari gang war. He was said to be a close aide of a very important politician of Sindh province. The sources claim the arrest of Morai, a noted leader of PPP Sindh, is a big step in taking on the corruption mafia in Sindh. The sources said that he was arrested by the Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) in Islamabad; however, his arrest was not formally announced.
