A high level meeting of the Regional Police Officer (RPOs) with Inspector General of Police (IGP), Nasir Khan Durrani in the chair decided to install biometric system in the courts for security purpose on Friday.
The participants included Additional IGP Special Branch, Additional IGP Operations, DIG CTD, CCPO, Peshawar, all the RPOs, the DIGP HQs, and the AIGP Establishment.
The RPOs will persuade the District & Sessions Judges to convene a meeting of the Bar Association and police to review the security of the court premises.
The finger prints of all the employees, members of bar association; the lawyers and other regular visitors will be recorded and will be allowed to enter only after biometric verification.
Others would not be allowed to enter the court premises until and unless they produce the summons issued by the court for the said date.
However, it has been directed that the proposed system will not create any inconvenience to the judges, lawyer, bar members and staff of the courts.
All the participants highly appreciated the role being played by Khyber Pakhtunkhwa police in the ongoing war on terrorism and praised the sacrifices rendered by the police personnel in the latest incidents of terrorism including the militant attack on Shabqadar Courts.
