Liquid foreign reserves reach US$20,522 million

The State Bank of Pakistan on Thursday announced that the total liquid foreign reserves held by the country stood at US$20,522.0 million on March 4, 2016.

The break-up of the foreign reserves position is as under: foreign reserves held by the State Bank of Pakistan stood at US$15,663.7 million, net foreign reserves held by banks remained US$4,858.3 million, and total liquid foreign reserves reached US$20,522.0 million. During the week ending March 4, 2016, SBP’s Liquid FX Reserves increased by US$157 million to US$15,664 million compared to US$15,507 million previously.
