Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Iqbal Zafar Jhagra on Friday took strong notice of the abduction of eight government employees in South Waziristan Agency (SWA), and directed the concerned authorities to take prompt action for their safe recovery.
In a statement, the governor directed the Political Administration and law enforcement agencies to leave no stone unturned for the safe recovery of the abducted and keep his office appraised regarding any development in the matter.
He further directed the Political Administration to make foolproof security arrangements for employees working in FATA areas.
Meanwhile, President Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) KP, Pir Sabir Shah called on the governor and felicitated him on assuming charge as KP governor.
During the meeting, both discussed matters related to wellbeing of the people of FATA and the security situation in the region.
Pir Sabir Shah lauded the governor’s efforts for strengthening democratic norms in the country and said that the steps initiated by the governor for the uplift of the province were laudable.
