Capital Development Authority (CDA)’s campaign against illegal constructions and encroachments is in full swing. In continuation of its campaign, teams of enforcement directorate conducted a full-fledged joint operation against the encroachments and illegal settlements in different areas of Kuri here on Wednesday, demolishing numerous illegal structures and dwellings in the vicinity.
Enforcement directorate, machinery pool organisation and other concerned authorities took part in the operation. Magisterial and police cover was also provided by the Islamabad Capital Administration and Islamabad Police.
Under the directions of the CDA Chairman Maroof Afzal, teams of enforcement directorate carried out a massive anti-encroachment operation on Rehara Kuri road and demolished many illegal structures and retrieved a 20 kanal land from illegal occupants. During the operation, CDA had to face some retaliation but they managed to complete the operation successfully. CDA has vowed to continue the operation against illegal construction until encroachments are completely eliminated from the city.
