Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan said on Sunday that the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) had links with Indian spy agency Research and Analysis Wing (RAW).
Speaking to media personnel after the party’s Core Committee meeting Imran Khan demanded a judicial investigation into the allegations of former Karachi Mayor Mustafa Kamal pertaining to RAW’s funding of MQM. Khan said that it was the duty of the federal government to investigate MQM’s links with RAW.
Khan said that the political parties had made an alliance with the MQM to save their governments, adding that the allegations of former Karachi Mayor were very sensitive.
The PTI chief also said that the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) chairman had been appointed jointly by the federal government and the opposition. He added that the rulers would never allow an independent NAB to function in the country.
Commenting on the Pakistan-India clash in World T20, he said that the Himmachal Pardesh chief minister had given gave an irresponsible statement regarding Pakistan’s cricket team.
