Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) central leader Shah Mehmood Qureshi has said that the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) was a constitutional institution and Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif’s remarks against the bureau were uncalled for.
The NAB is a constitutional institution and has every right to take action if it senses something wrong, he said while talking to media here on Saturday.
Regarding former Karachi mayor Mustafa Kamal’s allegations, he said that the government should take notice of the charges and form a judicial commission to probe the issue. The allegations of Mustafa Kamal were of paramount significance and should not be ignored, he said.
While commenting on Maulana Fazlur Rehman’s statement on the Women Protection Bill, he asked: “if Maulana has objection on the bill, why doesn’t his party quit the federal government?”
