Punjab CM boasts of merit in Punjab appointments

Punjab Chief Minister Shehbaz Sharif, while mentioning transparency and merit policy of Punjab government during his address to inaugural ceremony of Land Record Management Information System, said that all recruitments have been made on merit in the province and there is not even a single example of nepotism in the province.

Officers and staff recruited for land record centres under Land Record Computerization Project supported the merit policy of Punjab government. Land Record Management Officer of Gujrat Land Record Center Imran Siddique said that he came to know about the post through advertisement in a newspaper and applied for the post, took a test and a 10-member committee interviewed him and recruited through a transparent process. He said that no one demanded bribe from him

Another officer Sana Kausar told that her father is a labourer and she studied through hard earned money of her parents and got the position without giving any sort of bribe. Assistant Director Kasur Land Center Iram said that her family is not educated and she got service on merit and paid tributes to merit policy of the chief minister. Another officer Asima Cheema said that her parents have died and she got education and recruited on merit basis.

The chief minister said that merit was the only key to progress adding that the goal of progress and prosperity can be achieved by following merit policy.
