The marketing companies on Saturday reduced the prices of Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) by Rs 15 per kilogram following decline in its price in the international market.
As a result, prices of domestic cylinder were decreased by Rs 170 and commercial cylinder by Rs 680, said LPG Distributors Association Chairman Muhammad Irfan Khokhar in a statement.
He said that the LPG prices are back to where they were 10 years ago.
Giving details, he said that in Karachi, one kg of LPG would be sold at Rs 70 per kg and the domestic cylinder will be available at Rs 840.
He said that the prices of domestic cylinders in Lahore, Kasour, Gujranwala, Gujrat, Faisalabad, Jehlum, Sahiwal, Sialkot, Peshawar, Daska would be Rs 780 while one kg of LPG would be sold at Rs 65 per kg.
He further said that in Rahim Yar Khan, Sadiqabad, Hyderabad, Attock and Mirpur, AJK one kg of LPG would be available at Rs 80 and domestic cylinder at Rs 960.
In Rawalpindi, Islamabad, Abbotabad, Muzaffarabad, Bagh, Fata, Kotli, Tando Muhammad Khan, Mirpur Khas, Umarkot, Nawabshah, Thata, Dado, Jamshoro and Shikarpur LPG would be sold at Rs 85 per kg while domsetic cylinder will be sold at Rs 1020.
In Gilgit-Balistan, Murree, Nathiagali and Balakot one kg of LPG would be available at Rs 100 kg and domestic cylinder at Rs 1200.
Welcoming the decrease in LPG prices, Irfan Khokhar lauded the efforts of Federal Minister for Petroleum and Natural Resources Shahid Khaqan Abbasi, saying that the prices had decreased due to the policies of the present government.
