Police book 7,000 for pro-Mumtaz Qadri protest

Police on Saturday lodged a case against 7,000 people who protested at M A Jinnah Road near Mazar-e-Quaid against the execution of Mumtaz Qadri.

Soldier Bazaar police lodged two cases against Arshad, Imran, Anjum Attari, Saqib Noorani, Suhail Qadri and 7,000 unknown protesters on behalf of State on account of violating the Loud Speaker Act.

SHO Soldier Bazaar Irshad Soomro said that police lodged two FIRs against 7,000 protestors and arrested two of them namely Arshad and Imran while raids were being conducted to arrest other accused. On 29th February, thousands of people had protested at Numaish Chowrangi of MA Jinnah Road against the execution of Mumtaz Qadri.
