Reacting to fiery tell-all press conference by former Karachi mayor Mustafa Kamal against MQM and its chief Altaf Hussain on Friday, Opposition Leader in the National Assembly Syed Khurshid Shah of Pakistan People’s Party on Friday said two to four other ‘big names’ will also surface in the ‘story’.
Speaking to reporters, Shah said his experience suggests no big change would happen in the country’s political scene, especially in urban areas of Sindh.
Criticising Kamal’s outburst, Shah said hurling allegations at anyone was not a good deed, adding that allegations against Altaf Hussain from Thursday’s presser were nothing new.
“Where was Mustafa Kamal if MQM was being funded for the last 20 years? … Why he remained a RAW agent all that time?” he questioned.
Recalling anti-MQM operations during the 90’s, the PPP stalwart said the former kept on emerging after being suppressed on several occasions during that period.
The opposition leader ruled out the possibility of supporting a ‘reformed-MQM’.
