The Sindh High Court (SHC) on Friday issued notice to Faryal Talpur, Larkana deputy commissioner and Ayaz Soomro in embezzlement of over Rs 12 billion in developmental funds of Larkan, a stronghold district of Pakistan People’s Party (PPP).
An application has been filed with the SHC against embezzlement in Rs 12 billion developmental funds issued in 2008. The applicant stated in the application that the PPP had claimed to make Larkana like Paris with Rs 12 billion funds but didn’t utilise the amount for development projects in the city. The court after hearing arguments, issued notices to Faryal Talpur, DC Larkana and Ayaz Soomro and summoned them on March 24.
