Four dead as crane hits power lines in Rawalpindi

 

At least four persons were killed when a crane got entangled with electricity wires while pulling a car out from a nullah near Dhoke Hassu area on Thursday.

According to police sources, the crane had been summoned to the site of an accident in which a car had fallen into the drain. During the rescue operation, the crane hit the high voltage transmission lines, resulting in electrocution of two people on the spot while two others succumbed to their injuries at the hospital.
