Ex-DG FDMA, brother arrested by NAB in illegal assets case

The National Accountability Bureau has re-arrested Arshad Khan, ex-director general FATA Disaster Management Authority (FDMA), along with his alleged frontman, Dr Muhammad Arif for their involvement in accumulation of illegal assets worth millions of rupees.

According to NAB, Dr Arif is the brother of accused Arshad Khan.

The matter was brought into the notice of NAB Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and during the course of enquiry it was revealed that the accused remained posted on key portfolios in 2008-2014. He piled assets worth millions of rupees during his tenure as DG FDMA, in his name and in the name of his brother, Dr Muhammad Arif.

NAB has recovered Rs 31 million and more properties are expected to be recovered.
