ATC indicts MQM man for possessing explosives

An anti-terrorism court (ATC) on Monday indicted Muttahida Qaumi Movement’s Lyari sector incharge Amir alias Sar Phata for possessing explosives.

The hearing of the case was conducted at the Karachi Central Jail Complex. The accused, however, refused he had guilty in the case. The court after hearing arguments summoned the witnesses on the next hearing.

A case had been registered against Amir in the Gulshan Iqbal Police Station. He had been arrested by the paramilitary Rangers in March 2015 from Nine-Zero, the Muttahida headquarters. On pointation of the suspect, the police had recovered explosives from an abandoned plot in the city.
