Opposition Leader in National Assembly Khursheed Shah on Sunday criticised corrupt politicians and called for concerted efforts against unscrupulous elements.
According to media reports, Shah, while addressing a gathering in Pano Akil after laying foundation stone of a bridge, criticised the privatisation and economic policies of the incumbent government.
He was of the view that people attended political rallies in large numbers because a “storm of unemployment is battering the country”. He said that state organisations were stuck in the face of raids conducted by the FIA, NAB and anti-corruption departments. Shah also stressed the need for construction of more dams to resolve the energy crisis gripping the country.
The only agreeable part of his statement is to build more dams – if the Politicians can agree ! They could not in last four decades. Those two dams – Tarbela and Mangla – are gift from a Dictator. So wait for another one who can build another dam.
