The father of the martyred captain Umair Abbasi said on Sunday that he was proud of his son’s martyrdom and sacrifice.
He said that his son sacrificed his life for the country and he was proud of that. He further said that his younger son is also serving in the Pakistan Army and “I told the army chief that if it is needed, then send him to the battlefield”. He said that he would never hesitate to sacrifice anything for the protection of the country.
‘WE WILL SUCCEED’:
The martyred captain Umair recorded a video before going to the ongoing Zarb e Azab operation in North Waziristan. “We will succeed in our mission. Trust us and pray for the success of the operation,” Captain Umair said in the video. He said that the operation has entered its final stage and that most areas have been cleared while the remaining ones will also be cleared soon.
“The days of the terrorists are numbered and the Pakistan Army is committed to wiping out all terrorists from the homeland. Allah Almighty will have mercy on all us,” he said in the video.
Captain Umair along with four soldiers embraced martyrdom on Saturday, February 27 in Shawal, an area of North Waziristan.
